Dream a little dream.

Suzy's Coffee Lounge is one of my favourite Rita Angus paintings. the coffee lounge was a Wellington hangout for the slightly bohemian - Rita often dropped in for coffee. Suzy's was designed by architect Friedrich Eisenhofer - you can see original plans on nzhistory.net.nz

This house, built in 1968 to a Eisenhofer design, is currently for sale in Titahi Bay. If you happen to buy it, can you leave me a note in the comments and let me come visit?

Hmmm - ok area for me, right size, wrong price :-) Don't you love the retro furnishings? I wonder if they ripped out any original built in furniture and what was the original bathroom like?. PLse excuse inane drooling over this fantastic house

I went to the open home in the weekend. It looks better in the flesh (okay, wrong noun there - wood and paint, etc). Really a fabulous house and they have done an amazing job at updating the bathrooms and kitchen in the most sympathetic way. Wrong area, right price. I still have a son at uni and he refuses to travel into town to Titahi Bay. I'd be buying on the spot if I could. I'm head-over-heels for this house. At the very least, it has inspired me to find a nice old 60s place in town to do the same makeover. There's one I've seen in Crofton Downs with my name on it...
